A Newer and even Slimmer Version of PS2 is Soon to be Released

The Sony Playstation 2 just keeps getting slimmer and more attractive.
The popular game console the Playstation 2 (PS2) is getting another new design, that provides a smaller and more convenient look.
I originally bought the PS2 when it first was released in the U.S. It was a huge box compared to now, but at that time it didn’t seem so. I remember the PS2 was an amazing and fun gaming console.
Since then, the current version is smaller and a lot more practical. I cannot believe that the two machines do the same job and play the same games.
The newest version, SCPH-90000, is similar to the PS2 slim in design. It was reduced further by using smaller components to pack the original power in the new console. In addition, the AC adapter is not external anymore, reducing the hassle to carry it to another room or a friend’s house. Another factor adding to its mobility is that it weighs only 1.6 pounds.
The newest PS2 launches in Japan on November 22nd and costs approximately $140 (with tax). The colors available are silver, black and white. It should be available in the U.S in early 2008 for a little over $99.
In addition, a new Deep Red PSP (Kotaku) is being released in Japan as well.

Cool! My husband will love this. He played his last PS2 into dust. Except, now I think he really wants a PS3. Thanks for keeping us so well informed, I had no idea this was in the works!

Hi Neece, thank you for your comment.
The PS2 is a remarkable game console. Just like your husband, my original PS2 has also seen its last days.
I am also wondering whether to get a new one, or wait a little more and go for the PS3 or maybe just get my hands on the Wii.

Exactly! My husband can get his PS3 when the prices fall a bit, but you said it, I want a Wii for myself! Which says a lot because I’ve never wanted a gaming console for myself before!

Hey Neece,
I always loved video games, but this Wii is something else. I can’t wait to finally have one for myself.
