The Etch-a-Sketch provided hours of entertainment as a kid, now this one draws you the time…minute by minute.

As a kid, I was never too good at drawing on the Etch-a-Sketch. The idea was great, the interface amazing, but I just couldn’t control the two buttons well enough to create worthy art.
This modification of the famous toy is hooked up with different electronics to provide a real time clock.
The video presents how the minutes automatically update and erase themselves with each passing moment. It etches the time, erases it blank, and renews itself with the new time.
Would you say this is a way to hold on to the past or renewed innovation?

That’s really cool. I never was very artistic on an Etch-a-Sketch either, but this is an interesting idea to make one function as a clock.
