Twitter Messages Notify You When to Water Your Plants

Twitter is not just for friends anymore, but for your plants as well.
The Botanical Twitter Kit at Adafruit, allows you to communicate with your plant. While the conversation may not include any actual audible words, it still provides the message that the plant wants to deliver: ‘I am thirsty!’.

A sensor in the plant’s soil realizes when it needs watering and sends that message through an electric circuitry. You will then receive a Twitter update mentioning that the plant is thirsty. Whether you rush home to make sure your plant is taken care of is entirely up to you.
I wonder if Twitter can claim that it can save lives now.
