Why don't you start a discussion on what life will be like when you move to Mars?? Just as useful. I'm french, the co-inventor and the robot both have a french accent, I can tell the guy has a tone that means he's not serious about what he says, as someone said, he's trying hard not to laugh, he's definitely having fun. . Now ok you might not be able to notice this if not used to the language, but at least look at the robot, she looks too real to be true, her face has all the muscles moving appart under the eyes were she's the most shiny, she's just painted and take some robot-like attitude and moves, but even real robots don't go to these over fluidy movements. Plus she sounds like herself! It's not a hoax and neither do they pretend that it's real, they're having fun oviously. And a quick visit to the website confirms all the doubts. ;) Come on guys! Secondly, the Japanese have also been working on realistic or simulated female bodies for fantasy/fetish/sexual use. It's essentially an unanimated physical replacement for an actual human. Not that this robot is one of those, but to combine the two (a functional, trainable robot with ability to customize specific movements, i.e. "handjob", is technology that hasn't been stabilized. Even if the technology existed to "teach" a robot such a motion in the privacy of your own home, there is no guarantee that the tension or motion would be consistent enough to be safe. You could be crushed if something went wrong. Lastly, i believe there will be a growing market for AI robots like this in the real world: some for polite, sexually-unstarved people with special needs, and others for lonely people with even more "special" needs. This will be very expensive. You'd better have a two-car garage if you're planning on buying one of these. I even felt really bad for her when I saw the vacant expression of servileness on her face in some of the clips. However on closer inspection of the doctors I began to ntoice discrepancies. First the two gentleman were supposedly working from japan, so the french accents and french language was a bit odd (though I suppose they could be multilingual) but something about the gentleman taking a question at the end put me off. So I went to the website.
