Chess has always been a wonderful and challenging game, and with rivals turning up on every corner, it is a world-wide phenomenon. The thing is, with the progress of technology, the actual Chess board game is less visible and more versions are added as games for computers, game consoles, and even cellphones. It is no wonder that I was excited running across this do it yourself project of an LED Chess set, with pieces which glow in the dark.

This DIY project is not a simple one, with wiring of the board and individual pieces, along with additional preparations. It doesn’t mean that the work is not worth it. I mean, look at the picture and video…this LED chess set is just amazing.

Full directions including images, video, materials and the reasoning behind the method selected for the project can all be found right at Instructables.

This looks really cool, but there should be leds on the chess-board. Then you can play in the dark. Now it´s just style.
