Exercise within Second Life with a Stationary Bike

The Wii Fit is getting a lot of headline by providing individuals a way to exercise while playing video games. That is nice and all, but you are confined within the settings of the game. Wouldn’t it be really great if we could exercise by riding our bike within a Virtual World? Say…Second Life?

Stationary Bikes have been hacked to work within the popular Online community Second Life. These bikes have been installed with various sensors on the front wheel and handlebars to allow true interaction with the Online World. An additional feature, named the ET, even lets you take flight using your bicycle.

Looks pretty fun!
