In February of this year, Yahoo announced the OneConnect Mobile Application at the Mobile World Congress in Spain. It was said to be a part of the YahooGo 3.0 application. At that time the main target of the application were the Nokia’s Symbian and other Java Compatible mobile phones. Seven months later, Yahoo! has announced and launched the OneConnect application for iPhone.

This mobile application integrates the messaging and social apps right into it. With OneConnect it is pretty easy to keep up with contacts that are on your iPhone, Yahoo address book, and social networks including Myspace, Twitter, Bebo, Dopplr, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, Friendster, Hi5 and Last.fm.

OneConnect for iPhone is like FriendFeed for Computers. With OneConnect you will be able to see which of your contacts are online at any particular time and send them messages via e-mail, IM, and SMS. You will also be able to see their recent messages, uploaded photos, status updates etc.

The app doesn’t come up in the Search results if you search for it directly on the iPhone. You would need to go to Yahoo! Mobile site to get the download link, or if you want to download it on iTunes, you can use the link below.
