Amazon Kindle 2: New and Improved

The new Amazon Kindle 2 will be out on February 24th, 2009 right after Valentine’s Day, and they are taking orders already.

As we remember the original popular Kindle, this is an additional step up for the wireless reading device with the following improvements:

Increased battery life: 25% more

Faster Page Turns: 20% Faster

Text-To-Speech Feature allowing Books, Blogs and Magazines to be read out for you

Improved Display: 16 Shades of gray instead of 4

7 Times More Storage…

and it still has the features that its owners have already been enjoying.

Preorders are already open for the Kindle 2 with original Kindle owners having first picks. The new wireless device is going for $359.
