You probably cannot guess what it is just by looking at it, but I can say it is not a fancy flash drive for sure, or for that matter not a gadget case of any kind, but it is definitely a unique idea and a good application of new technology to be used in sports. The two things that make a sports coach stand out are the whistle and the clip board. The picture above depicts the later. If you aren’t still convinced, take a look at some of the pictures below and you will sort of get an idea of what i am talking about.
Yanko Design brings us the E-ink Electronic Coach Playboard which comes with preloaded information on fields and courts of several games, so the user just has to pick the game and start sketching a game plan on the playboard using just his/her finger. The instructions can be reviewed and replayed several times, till the game plan reaches perfection. ‘Visualizing the goal’ is one of the key strategies used in sports. This high tech Clip Board enables the coach to do just that, and helps the team to strategise a game plan at any point of the game, to see how it pans out.
It is surely a handy gadget for all those sports fans out there and for the enthusiastic coacher who are always on the look out for new technology and techniques to teach and encourage their players.
