asus eee pc 900 netbook

These are the times when people refuse to carry anything bulky and even laptops that were once fat and heavy have now become slim and sleek, and with that in mind, most people now prefer to purchase Asus EEE PC Netbooks which are tiny, extremely portable and also very efficient.

One of the most famous Netbooks has been the one launched by Asus, called EEE PC 900. The Asus EEE PC 900 series is not only the most popular brand of Netbooks today, but also one of the most handy and elegant ones.

The Asus EEE PC 900A-WFBB01 is now available for a cheaper price than usual and comes with the powerful Intel 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor 4GB SSD, 8.9″ display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, and GNU Linux OS. The 1GB DDR2 is what makes the device slightly disappointing as most laptops today do not come with a RAM less than 2GB.

However, the fact is EEE PCs are meant to be for easy learning, playing and working and to provide amazing multimedia and Internet experience. Thus, 1GB RAM should not be a bad deal after all. The special price is only for today, and if you miss it, you could always get it for a regular price. On Amazon, you could also get the ASUS Eee PC 900 16G Galaxy Black for $279, which is a great bargain too.

I got a leaf green limited edition EEE, and it’s marvelous! It performs beautifully and it’s solid state harddrive (optional) makes it EXTREMELY light!
If anyone is on the go and has a tower (or similar computer at home) to store your data en masse, then this is a great addition to your technological family!

    I highly recommend this computer!

Yes nice work Asus! I may get one of these for the kids – then they can leave my Laptop in piece! Seems to be perfect for them from I have read – the 1g memory will be sufficient for surfing the net and doing homework. Although I may check out theAsus EEE PC 900A-WFBB01 if its on offer! Thanks

We have an ASUS Eee pc 900A series with linux envirionment, purchased from Best Buy, 12/22/08. Todate we have never been able to connect to the internet.
Recently we visited their geek squad & they were not not able to connect to the internet via their hot spot location.
We have tried other hotspot locations in the past & could not connect.
    Please advise,

Weak wifi signal and consant runtime errors resulting in IE crashing with 8GB Asus 900. A little disappointed

  7. Jack Da computer nerd/geek Says:

    hey Kevin Navatil
i bought the same version and had the exact same and more problems.
the problem is the xandros os that ships with the 900a seris. it like the linux version of vista.
    i suggest upgrading to either
eeebuntu 3.0 (either standard or nbr)
    Easy peasy
Ubuntu Netbook remix (aka ubuntu NBR)
as soon i as i recived the netbook with that os, things started going wrong.
so i loaded up my trusty ubuntu(super os) and everything works perfectly and its super fast.
the xandros os is the reason why craposoft can claim that netbooks sold with linux rather than windows have a 90%!!!!! return rate.
