Quiltris: The Tetris Inspired Quilt Top
3 Comments By Alpheus on November 13th, 2009 in Home and InteriorWe have seen quite a few Tetris-inspired designs in recent times, and the Quiltris adds to the illustrious list and delivers in a remarkable way. Essentially a quilt top design, the Quiltris is 50 inches by 70 inches and has taken Spork Queen quite some effort, evident from the variety in fabric on display – red, orange, yellow, light blue, dark blue, green, and purple. She certainly deserves brownie points for her patience and of course, dexterity. We have reason to believe there were multiple ‘get motivated’ breaks taken, for this project has taken her a full two years. She certainly wouldn’t have been working 365 days a year, 24/7…no? We will stay away from the analysis before we get rapped for being overtly cynical.
The Quiltris is another work of art that speaks volumes about the effect of Tetris on the pan-world gaming audience. As a tribute, it doesn’t get any better than this. Most importantly, it is heartening to see how an enthusiast can go the extra mile to express his/her love for the game. For those of you still wondering how to win the ‘most ardent Tetris fan’ title, we have a piece of advice. Gear up and make haste, for the tortoises aren’t going to win this time!
