Intelligent Rubik’s Solving Robot

My brain is somewhat primitive when it comes to technology; most of our brains are probably are, despite us all being dependent on it. We can’t understand how these machines function; we don’t know what it is about them that allows them to complete the tasks the way that they do. That’s why when our computer breaks, we go to a specialist who can actually understand their functionality. That’s why when I see a robot like this one, it blows my mind. I can’t even figure out how to put together a Rubik’s cube, let alone begin to understand how to build a robot that can fix one.

Robot

This robot scans the cube to see where the colors are placed and then proceeds to solve the cube. It does this all under a minute. It’s pretty impressive considering that most of us have trouble trying to solve rubik’s cubes, but at the end of the day, it’s a pretty useless robot. You can even hear the commercial voice over in your head: having trouble solving your rubik’s cube? Well, we have the solution for you! There would be no purpose in owning it other than the mere fact that it is awesome.

Even the whole look of the robot has parts that are there merely for presentation purposes. It has a whole head which actually talks! This, of course, has nothing to do with its purpose of solving rubik’s cubes, but it’s a nice add-on. The creator also decided to be flashy, so he added blue lights all over the robot’s body. This is another useless aspect of the robot, but does not go unappreciated. We all love to see our robots looking good.

Hats off to the creator for making this robot, it’s definitely a cool robot that’s great to admire, but not to own.
