The Way The Cookie Crumbles: Cake Tin Set in the Shape of a Gigantic Cookie

At first glance, this just looked like an ordinary cookie. A big cookie, but a cookie nonetheless. On taking a closer look I realized it is actually a cake pan shaped like a giant cookie.

Now, I am no cooking genius and I rarely feel at home in the kitchen, but I like myself having cake every now and then. Sometimes I’d even like to bake it myself, and eat it too. This cookie set consists of two aluminum pans with non-stick coating. One cookie tin is for the bottom half of the cake, and the more detailed pan is the top of the giant cookie. The set measures three inches deep and nine inches in diameter and is available for only $21.95, and comes with a recipe included.

They can also be hand washed, preferably with hot soapy water. The manufacturer includes a 10 year warranty on the set. This is definitely a new twist when it comes to original cakes and cake decorating. Instead of decorating the cake with icing on top, the icing goes in the middle, between the two layers – giving the appearance of a cream filled cookie. In the image below, you can see some possible variations, like using a different cake batter to make it look like caramel instead of chocolate.

The cake will remove easily from the pan due to the non stick coating, so you can rest assured that the final outcome will be moist and sweet. Just the way a cake is supposed to be. Give the pan a quick shake after you have poured the batter in, and then let it stand for 10 to 20 minutes. This is so that the bubbles can rise to the top instead of being trapped in the batter. Another useful tip is to pour the batter from the edges toward the center instead of the other way around. Once you remove the cake from the oven, let it stand for another 10 to 15 minutes, to allow sufficient cooling and easy removal from the pan.
