SkyCar takes you anywhere, whether it be good or bad terrain, land, sand or sky where ever you want to go. There are two functional modes of the car, the flight mode and the car mode. In the flight mode, it suspends you using the latest ram-air wing and is capable of taking off from a field or air strip in less than 200 mts length. In the car mode, as a car it operates not only to cater to your adventuring needs but also your basic day to day needs. It has a lightweight chassis and 140 bhp engine, it can reach 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds, and can go up to 140 mph of maximum speed. In case of any kind of engine failure in mid-air, the SkyCar releases a ballistic reserve parachute.

It seems that Gmail has caught on the fact that we sometimes send email messages while drunk and want to help. I am not sure if Mothers Against Drunk Driving has any collaboration in this new Gmail Goggles feature, but it is surely to be a hit among many young folks who come back home after a night of partying, get on the net, and regret their email interaction the morning after.

Gmail seems to always come up with different features to overcome our mistakes, such as the one to make sure we do not Forget To Add Attachments in Email. This new addition though really takes it to another level. They will now check to make sure you are not writing an angry email, make an embarrassing confession, or email things you may regret because you are drunk.

At their Blog, Gmail explains this new Drunk defense feature. By preferences you set of hours and Math problems, Gmail will provide a last line of defense before an email is sent. If you notice that you usually come back home from a bar or party at 1am, you can set a window of time for this feature to be turned on. If during that window you attempt to email someone, a few Mathematical questions will pop up (also set to different difficulty you choose), which require to be solved (correctly) for that mail message to be sent out.

Gmail Goggles is a cool feature that I am certain will save a lot of unneeded embarassment from a crowd of drunk spontaneous folks.

Play a Virtual Piano with the Piano Gloves

Mindball is a game that requires you to keep your cool. Unlike many sports or video games, Mindball reacts to your brainwaves and the stress level you are projecting (or feeling). Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa took on the challenge to see who would beat who in this mind over matter competition. While both are pretty energetic individuals, there could only be one winner.

The purpose of Mindball is to push the ball over the other player’s goal line. Each participant is wired to an Electroencephalogram (EEG) machine, which reads each player’s brainwaves and transfers them to a physical reaction of the ball in Mindball’s playground. The more stressed you are, the easier it would be for your rival to push the ball to your side.

The great thing about Regis and Kelly is their determination to make themselves look like fools – just like true entertainers. So who wins? Make your bet and then see the video to see if you were right.

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa Play Mindball: Watch the Stress

Some say that nothing compares to Hallmark greeting cards – could be due to their huge selection or perhaps the commercialized status. I myself do not remember the last time I actually stepped into a Hallmark store or purchased a Hallmark stamped card for a friend, relative or business associate, but I must admit that their hand cranked animated cards are pretty damn cool. And with every cool product comes the curiosity about the nuts and bolts that make it move and put a smile on the consumer’s face. The images below are some of the dissected parts of the Hallmark Animated Cards that help me appreciate the greeting cards a little more.

Don’t get me wrong! I am not supporting or pressing you to go out and purchase these animated Hallmark cards. I am simply stating the cool factor behind these products and appreciating the mechanics which are making it work.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t have two left hands and was able to build such things by myself. If you are a do it yourself kind of person that may go out and recreate these cards all by yourself, we would love to see the process and final product. While the drive-in theaters used to be extremely popular, that movie niche is disappearing; more and more drive-in cinemas are closing and dying off. There are different ways of battling this, and many believe the trick is simply writing down certain characters, such as “[at]” instead of “@” or “(dot)com” to replace “.com“. While ideas such as these seem smart on the surface, they in fact provide spammers an easier way to get your true email.

I recently saw a great video on 5Min, which explains why methods such as above are not very effective. In fact, it goes on to show why providing your true email would actually be better. The true great solution to provide your email address but keep it inaccessible from bots is do present it as as an image. This is filtered out through spammer’s search, and thus reduces the contact between you and the horrible spam.

Protect Your Email Address from Spammers

My High School Physical Education instructor repeatedly mentioned that a workout in a pool is more beneficial, for the additional resistance but the little feeling of weightlessness. This Underwater Treadmill may not be fully submerged, but provides a great solution for rehabilitation and exercise.

Since the body is submerged from the waist down, it has additional resistance when walking. For patients going through rehabilitation, it will still provide the workout while keeping them somewhat afloat. You could always argue the case claiming that patients should strain more when recovering, but I think that is on a case to case basis.

I am not sure if exercise machines are becoming easier or just more fun. A fun example could always be the Anti-Gravity Treadmill.
