You may remember the Montauk Monster mystery that took the Internet by storm last year and still remained unsolved, and now a new Montauk Monster was found in Northern Panama which leaves many in shock and dumbfounded.

This new Montauk Panama Monster was found by a number of local kids that were playing by a creek near Cerro Azul just last Saturday. As mentioned in the DailyMail, the children mentioned that the creature was actually alive when they spotted it, and afraid for their safety, they threw rocks and sticks at it, eventually killing it and throwing it in the river. Afterwards, they gathered courage and returned to the area to take photographs of the mysterious Panama Monster.

Based on the images and speculation, many are saying it resembles a Sloth which has lost his hair. Others believe it is an actual dead animal fetus, which debunks the children’s testimony. Even further, some locals believe it is an Alien creature, but no actual concrete answers have yet to come up for any of the ideas.

Whatever the creature is, it doesn’t look pretty, and it may be simply a deformed animal that has been dead for quite some time.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or evaluations of your own, please share them with the rest of us in the comments below.

Fancy beer glasses always tend to jive up your party, no matter, otherwise it may be boring, so these recycled beer glasses will undoubtedly grab some eyeballs that will also include those of some eco-friendly geeks, what do you say?

These cool beer glasses that look as if they have been artificially painted to resemble some branded beer bottles, are actually recycled beer bottles that have been cut with precision to make some chick beer glasses. The glasses are in brand choices of Corona and Rolling Rock beer, both of which are among the top consumed beer of U.S.A. These cool tumblers which have been made in Wisconsin from waste bottles, where the Corona tumblers are 4.5” tall and 2.25” wide, have a carrying capacity of 7.5 oz and the Rolling Rock glasses, which are 4.75” tall and 2.25” wide, have a carrying capacity of 8.5 oz are available in set of 4 for a price of $34 each set, which may be a bit expensive considering they are just made up of recycled glass. But, then again, we can’t compare the beauty and worth of our mother Earth with a few dollars, can we?

If you are convinced about making earth a better place to live on, then you probably gotta take a look at these Spray Can Pendant Lights and Spray Can Table Lamps, both of which are made up of empty waste spray paint cans.

The prevalence of computers, mp3 players, and other such gadgets has increased by many hundreds of time in the last few years. The reason for this increase in electronic sales could be the fact that the gadgets and computers are not only getting more affordable, but have also become indispensable to people from all walks of life. The electronic industry has given jobs to millions of people and our economy depends on the sales and usage of these electronic goods.

However, there is a downside to the increased usage of electronic and computer products. Every time you replace your old monitor or a printer with a new and updated version, you would most probably have the gadget end up in a junkyard or worse, in the local dustbin. TV Monitors, computers and other such electronic gadgets contain heavy metals like mercury and lead, which when released into the soil or atmosphere, end up poisoning our environment.

Mercury and lead are known to cause cancers, brain dysfunctions and even birth defects among children born to parents who are exposed to these chemicals. This takes us back to our old computers and gadgets and poses us with the moral question of how we could get rid of our electronic waste safely and securely. The answer to this problem is not easy and can prove to be quite complicated. Most electronic goods that are discarded can be used by those who stay in underdeveloped and poor countries of Africa, Latin America and Asia.

There are many places where you can donate your old computers and gadgets, to be used by those who may need them, instead of dumping them unsafely. When you do dump your electronic waste without any regard to the environment, your waste may either be burned or incinerated or end up polluting the soil, water and air. Hence, trying to donate them to those who can still use them is not only a safe way to get rid of electronic waste, but also a benevolent gesture.

Dell takes your old computers and gadgets and donates them to the needy children and adults through National Christina Foundation. However, most of the times, it may not be easy to donate our electronic waste which takes us to the difficult task of giving them away to a company that recycles them safely so that no poisonous chemicals and materials are released into the environment.

ComputerDisposals is a U.K. based company which is WEEE compliant. They offer computer recycling and disposal services.

HP too has some waste disposal solutions for those who are looking at ways to get rid of electronic waste safely.

If you wish, you could even make some money by selling your junk and giving them to either Gazelle or WasteCare Waste Management.

In the end, it does not matter if you personally gain something by disposing the waste, but you would leave a less terrible carbon footprint when you take these measures and feel less guilty about it all.

But Europe could be an exception. With the Grass-Lined Green Train Railway Design, Tram commuters will surely have a better way to utilize their traveling time, rather than just digging their heads inside books or laptops. The landscaping railway design intends to be easy on environment and reduce the effects of urban heat island effect. Public transportation gets a makeover here and the beauty and benefit of this idea that makes it to the top 25 urban designs featured in Monocle Magazine. So we can hope that in times to come, cities will be no longer tagged as concrete jungle because of such novel ideas.

Ties Carlier has designed the Moof bike, which replaces the LED lights with solar powered bike lamps. Most of us would give anything to ride excellent bikes for the sake of environment. However green riding a bike might be, if the experience is not enjoyable enough or if it proves to be a burden, most would avoid using bicycles whatever the environmental benefits might be.

The Moof tackles the issue of clunky and unsightly LED lamps and replaces them with two solar powered ones, which not only are safe and green, but also make the bike look rather chic. The seats are covered with expensive leather and high-grade aluminum frame of the bike make it look almost good enough to be showcased on a runway on in Milan or Paris. The Moof bike costs $500 and will soon be available in the market.

If you were looking for a little variety in the bikes you purchase, you could try checking out the Yahoo Flickr Bikes. If you want to go the non solar-power way, you could still choose to stay bright with the Night Bike we have featured earlier. Now with a bike in hand, why not try the Robot Bike Parking to lessen your tedium after peddling across the town! Biking is not only green and environmental friendly, it also keeps you fit and healthy.

The Cool Penguin Air Purifier Gadget is a cuddly looking device that would help you to breathe-in clean air. The product is listed under the name of Crane Five Stage Air Purifier. Even earlier, we have seen posts where New Gadgets have been designed to look like animals.

The Teddy Bear GPS and the Bear Computer Speaker that we featured earlier would most certainly appeal to children and the Gorilla Ashtray Gadget would appeal to adults, unless your child decides to get evil earlier than necessary. The Penguin Air Purifier is child friendly and helps everyone in the family stay healthy thanks to its ability to remove 99.7% of allergens and airborne germs which are the main culprits behind respiratory infections and diseases.

The ‘cute’ gadget air purifier comes with HEPA Filtration and UV Germicidal Light and can not only eliminate allergens and germs but also smoke and common household dust. As the device is child friendly, it makes no more noise than a whisper and shuts down when tilted over. Ergonomically designed, the elderly, the children and adults can use the device easily without any hazards and costs $89.9. If you are feeling a little nasty, you could choose the mean shark model instead of the cute and cuddly penguin one.

Shiro Solar-powered Media Player seems be another addition here. With a solar panel fixed on its back, this PMP can juice up its machine in 6 hours in contrast to USB’s capability of 4 hours. As long as Earth becomes a safer place to live with our efforts, an extra 2 hours is not much to ask for. Its feature-pack isn’t in line with the current industry standards, but it still stands as a decent media player.

Now the tech-savvy guys aren’t that shallow to create humble-looking time-piece with spaces to hold half a lemon. The Citrus clock is yet another smart device illustrating how simple stuff can turn out to be a boon amid galloping energy crisis. A previous similar example would be the Lemon Light concept.

There isn’t any rocket science involved here, just application of simple scientific facts studied in school. The zinc and copper plug under the lemon oxidize because of the acidic content of lemon, thereby juicing up the energy levels of the clock. Anna Gram was the one who came up with this simple yet revolutionary idea.

Traffic coupled with sky-soaring noise levels had become an inevitable part of a commuter’s life. While some churn the technology refinery to bring out flying Cars, others test the potential of the tech-design frontiers. The CityAnts is one such Conceptual Car to do away with size issues and banks on an electric hub for the daily dose of power.

It compliments the idea of rental services as in the case of bicycles. The intended user will have to take it from a car station, drive it up to the required destination and then drop it at a station in the vicinity. I believe this concept is used to avoid lining up of vehicles and thereby save space with respect to parking lots.

This CityAnt has room for 2 passengers and moderate luggage. The stations will take upon themselves the work of juicing their batteries hub when not in use. I think the design folks have had such a concept in their mills since long. The Space Efficient Car and Folding Bicycles were similar prototypes churned by some of the budding designers.

Did you know a new rating system is about to released for mobile phones? The star rating system is to let you know how good the mobile phone charger is for the environment. The Environment is important for us, so the new Green Rating System is a great green idea like the Green Home, Air Compressed Car and also the Space Efficient Smart Car.

If you’re into tech gadgets, then you’re likely to be in to the environmental movement as well, since both of these are revolutions of our time. So, what better way to go green with your mobile recharger than to use a rating system that lets you know how much energy you’re using?

This new system of rating was developed by LG, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung Electronics and Sony Ericsson. The way the star rating system works is by giving a charger a better rating depending on how much energy is saved when the charger is plugged in. I think this is a neat idea since most of us either forget to switch off our mobile chargers, or are too lazy to do it.

The star rating system begins at a level of zero stars, signaling the least efficient energy use, to five stars for chargers that are more energy efficient. On this scale, if you’re charger takes more than 0.5W with no load, then it is degraded to no stars. Tipping the top of the scale, a 5-star rating implies that the charger is burning less than the stipulated minimum – 0.3W.

The rating system is more important than it appears because it actually lets you make a contribution toward a green environment. The makers of the system say that most people leave their chargers plugged in with no-lead attached, and this translates into wasted energy. With the ratings system on mobile phone chargers, hopefully it will let you pick up a better rated charger.

But you know what would be the best way to help the environment – to turn off your mobile charger, when you’re finished with it. It sounds simple, but maybe we’re so used to having technology take care of us that we’d rather have technology turn off our gadgets as well.
