They say it is ever so easy to find things that are useful but look boring. However, to find something that is absolutely pointless but interesting can be a daunting task. Well, if you traveled to Japan, you might find a lot of things that are useless but look damn interesting.

Here is a weird and pointless mouse which comes covered in grass. While the idea may look good to those who advocate green living, it is rather funny to imagine you might have to water the mouse so that the grass stays green and fresh.

The mouse is one of the many objects covered in grass by Japanese artist Hanaoka, who has also covered cars in grass. If you ever visit Japan, make sure you do ask people around who they plan to water this mouse if you see someone having it. Perhaps this would be great for those in the computer industry as that would remind them that the junk that computer hardware generates after becoming unusable creates a lot of ecological and environmental problems.

It actually might be a good gift for such people! If you are tired of all the grassy and mousey stuff that you read just now, you might want to read about an equally pointless Cassette Case for the iPod Nano or the Grass Cellphone concept. It certainly could be declared to be a work of art, but with not much functionality whatsoever.

Digital Electric Motorcycle Gets even More Hi-Tech

With global economy meltdown, it might be a sensible assumption that ideas that help in saving money and reduce living cost will be welcomed. The NoPoPo Batteries too thought on similar lines, and the AA batteries look forward to your pee for their daily source of energy. I think this is one of the Hi tech concepts and green gadgets that add to the self-worth of pee and shifts its resting place from toilet pots to batteries. The image depicts a pipette as means to fill in the battery.

No word on as to how you achieve this Herculean task of filling up the pipette. A mixture of magnesium and carbon inside the battery would react with the liquid to churn out power up to 500 mAh. Well, it isn’t as promising as the concept initially looked. We have earlier spilled the beans on USBCELL rechargeable batteries and a 12 volt battery Hack which ranks higher than NoPoPo batteries in the utility department.

Pee Charging Batteries are Definite Green Gadgets

Personally, I wouldn’t mind having one myself. It’s the perfect answer to the green movement, gets the job done, and looks really cool, bordering on futuristic, in fact. This is a heck of step up from the One Cup Washer.

In line with the recent trend in green policies at major corporations, one of the three tubs in this machine collects water and filters it so that it can be used again! Unbelievable. Who would’ve thought this kind of technology is actually available today. Yes, this machine is definitely ahead of its time. But it’s also just in time for those of you who want to save on your energy bills and are too lazy to scoot over to a different machine to use a dryer. This is a one-stop-machine for your laundry needs, but you will have to provide your own detergent!

The three units in this laundry center were inspired by the recycling logo. Although all of these units look the same one is washer, another is a dryer and a third is a water tank with a filtration system incorporated into it. When the unit spins in a clockwise direction, water moves into the unity by way of gravity and this means you don’t need a pump. As the washing cycle is completed, the water flows back into the storage tank where it is cleaned and ready to be reused.

Another neat factor about this laundry center is that it works independently as separate units, i.e. you can use the dryer while the washer is on. Absolutely a fun and neat way to wash clothes.

I don’t like gardening much but I would definitely like a gadget that could help me analyze a gardens’ condition and tell me whether it is suitable for planting flowers and other plants. With EasyBloom you can just sit back and let the gadget do all the analysis for you.

You have to put the EasyBloom at a place in your garden where you wish to plant a pod or a flower and keep it there for 24 hours. Easybloom Gardener Gadget

The Anaconda Snake is mostly known from horror stories or bad Hollywood movies, but in this case, it may actually generate enough power to provide electricity to our homes. We have heard of different alternative such as solar or wind powered generators, but the Anaconda creation uses water. In addition, it won’t be needing energy in order to produce energy but will harness the ocean’s power instead.

This Snake like device, known as the Anaconda will be positioned beneath the water’s surface. The movements of the Earth, Sun and Moon provide different effects to the world’s oceans and tides, and this is what I would basically call “free movement”. In other words, energy is being created naturally and is ready for the picking – that is where our Anaconda comes in.

The Anaconda is basically a rubber tube that will feel, move and hone the energy produced by various movements of the ocean in order to generate electricity. In the beginning, the tube used will be approximately .25-.5 meters in diameter, and if the experiment works as planned, can eventually be made to be as large as 7 meters in diameter with a length of up to two football fields. Just imagine how much energy that could potentially bring in.

So in these circumstances, an Anaconda shouldn’t be feared but appreciated.

Anaconda Snake as a Power Generator

People love their plants. They grow them, take care of them, talk to them, and even show their true feelings if their loved plant is not looking so good. I also love having plants around my house, but since I get so busy and overwhelmed, I forget to water them many times. If only they could show us how they truly feel.

The Pet Plant is a neat new concept designed by Junyi Heo that doesn’t tell you how it feels, but actually shows it on its LCD display.

This new Pot Plant concept measures how the plant is doing by the condition of the soil, humidity and temperature surroundings, and also water levels. Based on its needs, the plant pot will display you if it needs tending to by different facial emotions. In addition, its system will drain it a bit if it has been over-watered.

Since it is combines Technology with nature, it charges by USB and is also able to sync plant information and emotions to your computer.

Although it is just a concept for now, it would be great if my plants will just show me that they are angry with me, in case I have not paid enough attention to them.
