The best part is that this watch is extremely light, weighing only 15gms, which is only about half an ounce. The numbers on this unique time piece are raised on a moulded plastic circular face. These numbers are topped by a lens, which creates an original, yet classic look.

This Riki Watanabe watch is a limited edition, and so only very few people around the world will have the privilege of wearing them. Beautiful Riki Watches Designs

The new Tibida watches from Tokyoflash are amazingly cool, for these Tibida LED watches express time in three ways, the hour centric mode, the minute centric mode and the binary mode. Take a look at the image gallery and you will know what I am talking about…or better yet, take a look at the Tibida Official Page.

Though you will have to go through the instructions, the interactive operating guide (which you just went through) and the manual to understand the complete functioning of these watches at Tokyoflash, they do look promisingly futuristic and cool. The hour and minute centric modes display time on the top and bottom, while the binary mode only displays time at the top and is read from the right.

These Tibida binary LED watches also come in two different fashionable styles, stainless steel case and IP black case both with black faces. You can also look at some more of the Tokyoflash watch collection like the Retsu Watch, the Fire LED watch and the Bar Code IP watch.

Tibida LED watches from Tokyoflash

Even if time travel is still an idea we have been playing with in the past and will be playing with in the future, whichever age we may be in, we would always need to know the time of the day, and so these futuristic 12-5-9 C version watches which are priced at $94.50 at Japan’s Tokyoflash store are definitely worth a buy.

The 12-5-9 C version watches are a classic design by the twelve 5 9 studio and come gunmetal combined with LED and amazingly chic leather straps finishing.  As with most LED watches the buttons light up the watch and show the time. These watches have an interesting way to show time, the twelve small LED bars on the left show the twelve hours of the day, the five small LED bars on the bottom show the minutes, each bar representing a group of 10 minutes and the nine small LED bars on the right indicate the single minutes 1-9. As for the indication for seconds, during time travel I am sure we are bound to miss a couple of seconds, so they have been conveniently omitted in these watches.

The Cool 1259 C Version Watches from Japan

If the monotony of ticking hands has driven you towards more radical alternatives, look no further, for the Nixie tube clock doesn’t just perk up your table or your display case but also gives your eyes something refreshing for a change. Of course, this isn’t a new concept in itself, but for the fact that aesthetics has been delectably intertwined with avant garde functionality, we give it a big thumbs up. The bottled Nixie tubes clock has the cathodes and anodes, but doesn’t give you the impression that you are staring into the picture tube of an old television.

The digits of the Nixie tube clock emanate a gentle red glow, making sure you don’t get eyesores. It is a fine piece of art as such, since the entire clock has been built inside a glass bottle. Although the circuit and the electronics are welded to the exterior, the assembly is purely inside. We have seen glass art in the past, but an electronic clock inside a glass bottle is a rarity for sure. Limited Edition Transformers Watches for Adults and Kids

Many of us still depend on our wrist watches to tell time, and with wrist watches becoming a fashion accessory, those that do not use them to tell the time, wear them as a trend fashion item. The picture above is of the WITness watches which are now only at the concept stage, designed by Hay Heun. The concept of the WITness watch and the design gel together amazingly. The watch is based on the concept of sun dials that were one of the first ways man discovered to tell time and for many would still be easier than Tokyoflash Watches.

It is said that most people find it hard to tell time using a sun dial. According to me if you can follow a shadow, then you can tell time on a sun dial. You will find the pictures below is quite self explanatory, for the WITness watches at least.

Sun dials are based on a simple concept, the part that is covered under the shadow actually shows the time. So, for the above picture, look at the center of the dial, where there are lesser lines, one of the lines would be missing. The missing line would represent the hour on the watch. The outer part of dial has several lines, again with one line missing, that line represents the minute hand of the watch. The WITness watch designs would have LED dials and flexible bands to cover various sizes.

Learn To Tell Time Using the Sun Dial Watch

The progress bar clock has a coin to turn the dial at the bottom of the clock to set the time, it is a sideway clock that moves from left to right. The time progresses as the day goes by, which is the same as any other clock, but in this clock it looks and feels like your day is filling up by the blue color film. You can place tags at different time periods to mark your tasks, and write on them too! There are two drive shafts, one at each end, which are connected to a motor. When the blue color film hits the tag the alarm goes off, attracting your attention to it. You can then turn the tag 90 degrees to read the tag, be reminded and turn the alarm off this way.

The best thing about this clock is that it makes you feel that your day has been extremely well spent, with all your achievements for the day, right there in front of you to see. Some more clocks that look interesting are the wall clock with no numbers and the gun alarm clock.

The Progress Bar Clock is a One Day Scheduler

I have always hated numbers and that is the reason why this QLOCKTWO wall clock got my eyes staring at them, for the best part is that the funky wall clock, which was earlier only available in German, is now available in an English version. Yes, you read it right; you finally have a word clock that prefers words more than numbers and adds some glam to your room at the same time.

Although, the Sushi Wall Clock design also discarded numbers from its face, this QLOCKTWO design by Beirgert and Funk is something that’s par excellence, ain’t I right? This piece of elegance, that’s up for grabs in a variety of color choices, will surely burn a deep hole in your pockets with its sky rocketing price tag of about $1600 (you get and HDTV with this much bucks), but the piggy bank is always ready for your rescue (if you know about a word called S-A-V-I-N-G), isn’t it?
